We want this website to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability or the technology they use to access the web. That includes people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification tools, higher contrast settings, or other assistive technologies.

Our approach

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our reference standard. These internationally recognised guidelines provide a practical framework for creating accessible digital experiences, including requirements relating to colour contrast, keyboard accessibility, text alternatives, and clear content structure.

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment. We regularly review the site and address issues as they are identified, including those reported directly by users.

Legal and regulatory framework

As an India-based practice, we assess accessibility against the applicable Indian legal and technical framework, including:

• The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, particularly Sections 40–46, which establish accessibility obligations for information and communication technologies and extend accessibility responsibilities to private establishments providing services to the public.
• The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017, including Rule 15(1)(c), which references recognised accessibility standards for websites and digital services.
• IS 17802 (Part 1):2021 and Part 2:2022, issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards, which provide technical requirements for accessible ICT products and services and are closely aligned with WCAG.
• The Guidelines for Indian Government Websites and Applications (GIGW) 3.0, which provide practical guidance on accessible digital design and operation.

In practice, we apply WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our primary technical benchmark, reflecting our commitment to meeting or exceeding the standards contemplated by the Indian accessibility framework.

What this means in practice

We actively review and maintain features including:

• Sufficient colour contrast to support readability for users with low vision or colour vision differences;
• Keyboard accessibility for forms, buttons, links, and other interactive elements;
• Meaningful alternative text for images and icons where visual content conveys information;
• Clear page structure and semantic markup to support screen readers and assistive technologies;
• Responsive layouts and readable text across devices and display settings.
